Zaha Hadid Architects has won several awards at the prestigious competition of World Architecture Community

Since 2006 World Architecture Community organises the prestigious World Architecture Community Awards (WA Awards). The WA Awards recognizes remarkable projects that might otherwise remain unnoticed by the international public. The competition is split into three distinct categories as listed below:

  • WA Realises Award – for projects that are actually built
  • WA Designed Award – for projects that were not built
  • WA Student Award – projects designed by students

Ten projects in each category are selected by the votes of Honorary Members and Winners in earlier cycles and five projects – selected democratically, through the ratings of community members.

At the 30th cycle of the WA Awards, Zaha Hadid Architects has won 4 WA Realises Awards, selected by the votes of Honorary Members and Winners in earlier cycles for the following buildings:

  • Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre, China
  • Generali Tower, Italy
  • 520 West 28th, USA
  • Morpheus Hotel, Macau

The Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre in China was also selected democratically in the same category, through the ratings of community members.
