Master class workshop

From 22 March to 1 April 2013 the International Academy of Architecture and the IAA Center in Istanbul, in cooperation with His Excellency Mr. Esat Altungün- Mayor of the town of Kusadasi (Turkey), has organized an architectural Master Class-Workshop on the subject “ The future development of the beautiful historic resort town of Kusadasi”.

The main design problems (presented by the Kusadasi Municipality  Authorities) are:

  1. Kese Mount and Environs;
  2. Touristic Port and Environs;
  3. The touristic development of the area facing the corniche road and the Int’l Marina;
  4. The sea cornice between the Int’l Marina and the Touristic port.

33 young talented architects and students of architecture from 7 countries of the world: Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Greece took part in this Master Class-Workshop under the leadership of IAA Academicians and their assistants-studio critics.

The Municipality of Kusadasi organized trips to Ephesus, the Chapel of “Saint-Marry”  and the different regions and surroundings of Kusadasi.

After their hard work, the participants presented their projects and suggestions for the future development of this remarkable Turkish town.

Every participant received Medal and IAA Certificate for their participation.
