PRODUCTION OF THE PRELIMINARY AND CONCEPTUAL DESIGN FOR LANDSCAPE COMPOSITION OF URBARCHITECTURE FOR THE “MEMORIAL PARK JAJINCI”, NEAR BELGRADE, SERBIA

The conceptual design for architectonic and town planning composition display of the Memorial park Jajinci near Belgrade was produced for the Yugoslav public and anonymous tender in 1980, in cooperation with the sculptors Novica and Kornelije Jocić from Dolac, near Niš. The tender was organized by the Union of Architects of Serbia and SUBNOR of Yugoslavia. The project was bought and presented at the public exhibition of the competition projects in the Art Pavilion “Cvijeta Zuzorić” in Belgrade, 04th – 15th December 1980. Apart from the composition design of the ecourbarchitecture of the landscaping part of the complex, the designer produced the design of the memorial building of the museum, and a building in the entrance zone of the complex. The form of the museum building has a pyramidal character with the pronounced focal area in its composition and an access section. It was synthetically well connected to the significant sculptural composition and natural environment in which there are no other contending physical structures. The authentic characters of the location, iconical-historical value of micro-ambiance were honoured. It was a conceptual attempt to create an articulated physical structure which will not have a character of a unison, already seen architecture. A simple designing vocabulary was implemented for the proposed morphology of buildings with simple geometrical-structural characteristics. The preliminary design was purchased at the Yugoslav competition. IAA SPECIAL PRIZE 2015.
