Morphosis won a design competition for a new Viper Room development along the L.A.’s Sunset strip.

Morphosis’s proposal for a new home of Viper Room in Los Angeles was selected after a design competition with 12 submissions.
The project is sited along Sunset Boulevard, between San Vicente Boulevard and Larrabee Street. The design comprises a white, ribbon-windowed, 15-storey hotel that appears to clamp onto the scheme’s more rationally proportioned residential tower.
The 369 000 -square-foot building will include 11 guest rooms, ground-floor commercial space and resident and guest amenities such as a gym, a rooftop pool, a movie screening room and 269 parking spaces on three basement levels. The proposed development would also incorporate 31 condominiums, 10 units of affordable housing.
At nearly 200 feet in height, the mid-rise structure will feature an a large interior opening through two connected towers.

After the developer gets an approval for the project from the City Hall , the construction is set to begin in May 2021 with completion set for 2024.
