Frank Gehry reveals the “Floating Icebergs” for Warner Bros. in Los Angeles

Gehry Partners has designed a new 800,000 square-foot Warner Bros. Headquarters in Burbank, California.
The complex will consist of two new buildings representing “icebergs floating along the freeway” – a seven-story building and one nine-story.
For the “Second Century Project” Gehry has created his typical fluted and twisted forms.
He also says about the project, that the main goal was to be created the highest quality office space, so they have created large open floor plans.
The identity of the project is based upon the long sculptural glass facade which is to be seen from the freeway. On the studio side, the metal perforated facade is terraced to connect to the scale and character of the existing studio buildings.
Gehry Partners collaborated with Worthe Real Estate Group and Stockbridge Real Estate Fund to finish the new Warner Bros. office building in time for the 100th anniversary celebrations in 2023.
