RIBA has recently announced that the 2020 RIBA International Awards jury will be led by the famous french architect and urban planner Odile Decq.
Odile Decq, who took part of the first edition of our “MEETARCH” event earlier this year, is famous with her multidisciplinary work all over the world. She’s on the international scene since 1990 with her first major commission – La Banque Populaire de l’Ouest in Rennes, France and is a recipient of many prizes and fellowships, as well as a recognition for her contribution as an educator.
“The RIBA International Prize has an incredibly important focus – to discover the best architecture for a better life – and I look forward to traveling the world to find a worthy winner.”, says jury chair Odile Decq
The prestigious prize for architecture outside of the United Kingdom celebrates buildings that exemplify design innovation, embrace sustainable technologies, and deliver meaningful social impact. Any qualified architect or architectural practice across the world is invited to enter the competition, with any type of project, whether it is a small intervention with limited budget or a large-scale project.
